Stefan Cartwright is the founder and director of Resona. His interests include yoga, singing, music composition and working with resonant musical instruments. As assistant to New York based artist Don Conreaux, he explored the use of sound as an improvising art. His love for Indian raga took him to India to study vocal music with Pandit Barun Kumar Pal, with whom he continues to work. Stefan is an experienced yoga teacher and trained with Dr Pete Yates of the Heart Yoga School.

His teaching and sound therapy experience includes working with school children and teachers in the UK and India, with the homeless, with people recovering from substance abuse and patients with Parkinson's disease. He gives talks and workshops and has presented his ideas on sound and creativity at several universities and at The Institute of Contemporary Art.
He lives in Stroud with his wife, the artist Natasha Longworth, and their son Thomas.
