Being The Music

Enjoy the thrill of creating music with others and discover how nourishing and life affirming it can be! If you don't already sing or play an instrument, you soon will. Being The Music provides a relaxed and supportive group space to explore our creativity through intuitive free-play and working with simple structures, themes and games which encourage spontaneity and inventiveness. The three day course includes simple practices to free the voice and body, helping us to sing and play with greater ease and confidence. Sessions will take place inside the main hall which has good light and acoustics and outside in the gardens and forest. A range of beautiful sounding, easy-to-play instruments are provided and you are invited to bring your own.

Stefan Cartwright's background ranges from electronic music composition to musical instrument development. His interest in nature has greatly influenced his work, drawing him to more primal sound sources including the gong and voice. Read more
Erik Huele is an internationally known improvising pianist, composer and chi kung teacher. He runs world and spiritual music choirs in Holland and is an experienced workshop leader. Website: taomusicandtrees.com
