Being The Music
24 –26 October 2008
Hawkwood College, Stroud

Develop your capacity to create music and improvise using the voice and simple instruments. Explore the use of sound for wellbeing. Open to all!

Being The Music explores the possibilities of sound and music in an open and supportive group space. Sessions include meditation, simple yoga and relaxation to free mind and body. As we quieten, we become more open and receptive to the music within.

For several years Stefan has worked with a wide range of people, including those who have no confidence in their ability to sing or play an instrument. To their surprise they find they are capable of creating a wonderful music using only the voice and a very simple musical framework. This music is immediate and natural and does not require us to read music or learn a complex system. The work is also very useful for educators as it offers simple ways to teach sound and music without having to be a trained musician.

The three day workshop is held in a beautiful and peaceful retreat centre in the South Cotswold hills. It includes good food and hospitality with special diets catered for.

Fee: Residential single £256; shared £236; non residential £202
